Here's a shipyard outpost. Scrap has the most value for trade. The keepers guard these stations with ferocity. Even after years of trading they still view us as Steelheads.

Mute driver

I've never seen the inside of a skudgger but I imagine them flying like this. I've got close to one once but never saw inside. Father is annoyed that I keep dwelling on the Mutes but they fascinate me.

My Dad

The mayor makes sure everything runs. Broken people, broken pipes he fixes it all. He's gets feurus when I leave for too long but there's nothing he can do. I keep the metal coming so he can't be that mad. He has a sadness I can't fix no matter how good I am.

Samoors

We ran into Samoors today. Fierce. They seem to have a great understanding about the world, focused. The Scavs build robots and to get one I had to trade my hat AGAIN, I just made that thing.
Ingenious, they run off the clouds. The Samoors are hard to be around, they hate us, say we are to blame for their great society falling. They are searching for something but I haven't been able to get close enough to hear what it is.

The Nevagas

Here is the Nevagas coming into port. We had little time before we had to shove off but hopefully the tunsfolk got what they needed from us whether it be from Nightlys, supplies, games, or food. We travel everywhere bartering and trading.

I was held up in the city for awhile. Couldn't move. Had to eat my hat to survive. nearly the last bit of leather I had on. Here's the last picture I did of my favorite cap. I'll be scrounging to make a new one shortly.

Devils Hands

I've seen these structures near storms. You can barely make them out until it's too late with all the cloud cover. Get to close and the mutes can feel it. They know because you're near their tower. We call them Devil Hands. They look like they are made of parts and pieces of the cities below.

Aphotic is the best skiffer around. And the scariest. Word is, every kill gets her new ink. When we're parked everyone's friends. Out in the skai all bets are off.

They're all nice. They try real hard to make themselves pretty. This is Lace. Her mom died real early just like mine. We talk when she's not busy, she cries alot when we're alone. She wanted to be a skiffer too but she was chosen for Nighting

These are the persons on my boat. That's Preacher, my mom and half-brother. My brother does not come around anymore. He changed, on purpose. I miss him. I saw that mute around. I think he doesn't know he's a mute yet. I don't know what we'll do when everyone else finds out.

They can get real ugly. They usually have these screw on masks. I heard they do that or their head would explode over time. They say that the metal plate keeps it all inside. I wish I could ask them if it hurts, or what it's like. They look sad to me, like a longing. Don't get them angry, the rage doesn't end until someone's dead. I just can't believe they have all that technology.

The Girls

These are some of the riders. The more work they do the more body work they get. Never, NEVER go up against the ladies, especially if they're covered. I can beat them in a race, but they don't need much of a reason to kill you.

The Mutes

I haven't seen a mute in along time. They usually don't come up to the surfist. They stay below where they are comfortable. I miss my brother.
